There are many Paleo and Whole30 compliant brands of condiments out there but let’s be hones, they are pricy! Most of them are quite simple to make and a lot more affordable. Being able to customize the flavor to your test buds is another plus. For this ketchup I use pineapple as a sweetener and it worked so well!
This is such a versatile recipe, you can use it as a base for barbecue sauce for example, just add some smoky flavors like smoked paprika, cumin or chipotle peppers and brush it over chicken or ribs. It is so delicious! You can also sweeten it with maple syrup, dates, coconut sugar, or just regular brown sugar if you don’t have dietary restrictions. You can also leave the hot sauce out if you prefer. Did I mention versatile?

Spicy Ketchup/ Paleo, Whole30
Notes
You can strain the tomato sauce before you add it to the blender to make a smoother ketchup but I really like the ticker consistency on this one.
Dates or coconut sugar would work great if you don’t have pineapple
