Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Drumsticks
Notes
Depending on the size and number of chicken drumsticks you are making, you might need to cook the chicken in two batches. If you do, turn your oven to the warm feature. Place a rack on a baking sheet and transfer the chicken once is done. Keep it in the oven while the rest of the chicken is ready. The rack will help the air circulate around the chicken and will keep it crispy.
Ingredients
- 6-8 Chicken Drumsticks
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn meal
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Lemon wedges and garlic to garish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, corn meal, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, old bay seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken drumstick into the flour mixture shaking off the excess, transfer to a plate.
- Spray the Air Fryer basket with cooking spray and place the chicken in.
- Spray the chicken with cooking spray and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. You don’t have to flip the chicken at all, just let it be.
- The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165 degrees when done.
- Let it cool for five minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and garnish with parsley.
- Enjoy!
