Oreo Cookie Cookies

Jump to recipe

You wont believe how excited my kids got when I told them I was going to make cookies, with Oreo cookies! For some reason those words worked like magic because they were perfect angels waiting for these cookies to be done.

I made a batch of these cookies for a get together my husband and some friends were having. The cookies were gone in no time! Everyone was raving about them. I don’t need to tell you how much my kids loved them, right?. The cookie dough recipe is from Nestle Toll house chocolate chip cookies and I just added crushed Oreos. I changed a couple of things though, I doubled the amount of salt this recipe called for because I was afraid they cookies were going to be way to sweet, I did a good thing here, The dough worked perfect with the Oreos.

Here’s my precious daughter #2 crushing Oreos while eating Oreos, multitasking is everything is this house hold. The well loved rolling pin she’s using belonged to my sweet grandmother. Oh, it’s the little things!

I suggest to crush the cookies this way instead of using a food processor. You really want to have big chunks of cookies instead of crumbs.

I like to reserve some pieces of the crushed Oreos and top the cookie dough balls with it. They will really show once they’re baked and the cookies will look a lot prettier.

About

Hello, my name is Marisol Chancellor. I was born and raised in Monterrey Mexico. I’ve been living in Texas for 12 years, and even when I love barbeque, fruit cobblers, and sweet tea, there’s something that has the power of transporting me right back to my mom’s kitchen and gives me a little piece of home; cooking. I grew up in the kitchen and for me, memories are always linked to food, and behind the food, well, there’s always a story that comes along. So, please let me share with you my love for cooking and while we are at it, let’s share some memories, because let’s be honest, we are also hungry for nostalgia.
