Warm Banana breakfast bowl.

Jump to recipe

This warm Banana bowl is one of the best things on the planet. It is packed with potassium, fiber, protein, vitamin A, E and C, antioxidants, healthy fats and has zero sugar. It also happens to be delicious and beautiful. I mean, don’t you want to eat it now? right now?

Start by smashing half of a banana with a fork. We’ll use the other half to finish the bowl.
Add the almond milk, banana, almond butter and cinnamon to a small sauce pan and simmer on low for a couple minutes.

Once the milk is warm, start mixing everything together, the heat is going to melt the almond butter.  It will get a little thick, almost like the consistency of oatmeal. Do not boil! just make sure everything is well mixed, warmed through and serve it immediately.

You can add any toppings you want but I am going to show you some of my favorites.
Since we are using a whole banana, I add extra fruit that is low on sugar and carbs like berries. I add nuts for extra protein and plant based super food like chia or hemp seeds. Oops! I forgot to shot the rest of the toppings.
Spectacular!

About

Hello, my name is Marisol Chancellor. I was born and raised in Monterrey Mexico. I’ve been living in Texas for 12 years and even when I love barbeque, fruit cobblers and sweet tea, there’s something that has the power of transporting me right back to my mom’s kitchen and gives me a little piece of home, cooking. I grew up in the kitchen and for me, memories are always linked to food, and behind the food, well, there’s always a story that comes along. So, please let me share with you my love for cooking and while we are at it, let’s share some memories, because let’s be honest, we are also hungry for nostalgia.

  1. I don’t have any almond milk or butter so I subbed cow’s milk and peanutbutter (forgive me!) but I used this recipe this morning for breakfast and it was SO GOOD! I’ll be making this again (and adding almond butter to my grocery list).

  2. Made it this morning used smooth peanut butter instead of almond and loved it definitely will be making it again. Thanks for sharing your receipe
